Our Experience
After having a fantastic time down near the Swan River we have many things to write about! After having a meeting with the coordinator of the excursion, we were all set and prepared for it. After a short bus ride to the river, we were all hoping that it wouldn't rain! Before beginning the journey using the 'Fresh Air' app on our mobile phones, we were
given clear instructions on when and where to meet. We were put in groups if about five, and we all set of following the directions provided on either the map or our phone. A blue marker would pop up at each marker, and we were given a challenge that we had to complete. This was usually answering questions about that particular sculpture, artifact or wildlife. If we provided the correct answer we were given a prize, which we used in a photograph shown in the picture above.
As we strolled along the Swan River, we learnt about many historical events that happened. You can learn about the river too simply by just walking around the Swan River and reading the plaques next to the statues. This is a fun and easy way to learn about the river, whilst enjoying the amazing scenery.
